How to password protect Microsoft Word documents

The procedure is standard for Microsoft Word versions.

First, open the Word document you would like to protect. Click the File menu, click Info,  select the Protect Document button.

Select the Encrypt with Password option

Enter your password then click OK.

Enter the password again to confirm it and click OK.

The Microsoft Word document is nowprotected.
